. I'm listening to Kosheen - Catch and I don't understand one line. Here are complete lyrics:

Sentence: "I'm gonna catch you if I can" in this context mean "I'm gonna catch you if I WANT to catch you" or "I'm gonna catch you if you allow me to catch you"? I'm confused and it change everything. Love kosheen.

Who? I interpret it as "whatever creates misery for you: Woman or Society or death questions or being half wolf or maybe just beacue your ugly or feel VERY MISERABLE BECAUSE YOU FAILED IN UT, why you flip out when u don't get a lot of sex, because the mouse broke, etc"

So if he sings: "Out off my way I'm running, I'm gonna catch you if I can"

I read it as: "Instead of just "accepting life" and "misery", singer wants to fight it. Actually is going away from the certain-to-work "easy" path of work/life/how to be etc. Singer does not accept the "thing" that we all feel but then give up.

Singer will actually give part of the easy life (Going out of my way AKA extra path to take) go go hunt for this misery creator. If singer finds it he plans to fight. (Catch misery if singer can)

Children use the phrase: "Catch me if you can!" in playing "Tag, your it!"

The misery (in this case) will never allow you to catch it. You must find it within yourself to catch the "outside" misery.

By singing about it, the singer says: "Hey we are all in the same boat, don't give up the fight!"

Good that you didn't give up with misery, because misery loves company. You had those moments where you thought you would never catch up to pros, Anto or, well, oc, BenZino skillz. I was wondering a little bit about your constant giving up on UT, but RESPECT that you didn't.
